University of Eastern Philippines partners with OACRI

OACRI and the University of Eastern Philippines have established a partnership aimed at elevating climate change education as a central and prominent element of the international response to climate challenges. The program's goal is to enhance understanding of the current impacts of global warming and to boost "climate literacy" among young people.

To achieve this, the initiative focuses on several key areas:

1. Strengthening Capacity: It enhances the capabilities of its members and partners to deliver high-quality climate change education.

2. Encouraging Innovative Teaching Approaches: The program promotes creative methods for integrating climate change education into school curricula.

3. Raising Awareness: It seeks to increase public awareness of climate change issues.

4. Enhancing Non-Formal Education Programs: The initiative also supports non-formal education through media, networking, and strategic partnerships.

Through these efforts, OACRI and the University of Eastern Philippines are fostering a more informed and engaged community ready to tackle the challenges posed by climate change.
