An OACRI Global Initiative
Climate Futures: Educate, Engage, Empower
The Ocean and Climatic Research Institute (OACRI) is proud to launch "Climate Futures: Educate, Engage, Empower," a transformative global initiative aimed at reshaping how communities and educators address climate change. Rooted in our commitment to inclusive, science-based environmental education, this project seeks to bridge the gap between knowledge and action by providing accessible tools, training, and resources for climate literacy and local adaptation.
This initiative is designed to equip educators, youth leaders, civil society groups, and grassroots communities across the globe with the capacity to understand climate science, integrate sustainability into teaching, and mobilize impactful, localized responses. From urban classrooms to rural villages, Climate Futures promotes a people-centered approach to resilience—grounded in culture, innovation, and empowerment.
Through a blend of interactive toolkits, capacity-building workshops, digital resources, and open-access CPD-accredited micro-courses, the project enables participants to become proactive change agents in their own environments. It also encourages the exchange of indigenous knowledge, scientific solutions, and policy advocacy, helping shape climate-ready societies for tomorrow.
By fostering collaboration among global partners, schools, institutions, and local leaders, Climate Futures serves as a beacon for collective action, resilience building, and climate justice. Together, we aim to spark a global movement where climate education translates into meaningful action—ensuring a more sustainable, just, and climate-resilient future for all.
Join us in empowering the next generation of climate leaders.
